Why is the design and build free?
Because a big upfront invoice is the main thing stopping good businesses from getting a proper website. We'd rather earn your trust with the work. The monthly fee covers hosting, care and support, and that's how we get paid.
Who can get the $0 build?
Businesses trading for 2+ years with 5+ employees, based in Cairns, Port Douglas or Atherton.
Do I really own my website?
Yes. It's a real WordPress site, so you can move it to any host. The premium plugins we choose for your site, like Gravity Forms, SEOPress and our AI connection, are licensed as part of your plan, so you'd need your own licences if you move. Like a car, a website has running costs to keep it on the road. If a payment is missed, we'll send a reminder, then call you after 30 days. If it's still unpaid after 60 days, the site is suspended until the account is paid. We'd much rather keep it online. Your website is your hardest-working employee, and downtime can hurt how Google sees your business.
What does $99 a month + GST include?
Fast, secure hosting, updates, backups and security checks, the premium plugins your site runs on, and help from a real person in Cairns. We like to partner with our clients and help with the workload, so small 5 to 10 minute jobs once a month are included too. Anything bigger, we'll quote as a project.
Is there a minimum term?
Yes. The minimum term is 12 months, and it renews for another 12 months unless you let us know before the term ends.
I already have a website. Can you rebuild it?
Yes, but we'll review it first to see whether it's worth migrating. It's often better to start with your priorities and goals, build a strategy, then design and build a new site using your existing content, rather than copying the old structure. Rebuilding a Joomla, Squarespace or Wix site that a business has outgrown is one of our favourite jobs.
Can I make changes to the site myself?
Absolutely. Plenty of websites are built on closed systems that only the original developer can update. WordPress is easy to edit, and when your site goes live we give you an hour of training so you know how to log in and update your text and photos. New layouts are harder, because they need to work on every screen size, so that's usually a job for us.
